Who is participating?
Males tend to participate in drinking activities more than females; however, this gap is declining.
White youth report the highest quantity of drinkers, and black youth reported the lowest. Hispanics fall somewhere between
the two groups.
Who is to blame?
Many who use alcohol come from unhappy homes and lead stressful
lives. There is also a great deal of blame placed
on media because it is seen to glamorize the use of alcohol.
