Who is to blame?

Much of the "blame" is similar to that of alcohol use. Some feel it's roots stem from the family, peers, and community. However, there is a lot of blame placed on the media for glamorizing the practices.

Who is participating?

It is common to find adolescents using drugs who have poor relationships with their parents, family members, and peers that use drugs. It is also more common among those who live in communities with widespread drug use, who have low self-esteem, and bad academic performances.
