Hallucinogens like marijuana and LSD
Stimulants like cigarettes, cocaine, amphetamines, and ecstasy
Depressants
Anabolic Steroids
Inhalants
 
35% of adolescents will have experimented with some kind of illicit drug by the time they reach 14 years old.
 
By the time of graduation, 50% will have used.
 
Adolescents that start using before the age of 15 are more likely to become dependent on the drugs.
 
Marijuana is extremely accessible, and it is often considered to be a gateway drug.
 
1 in 12 twelfth graders report having used ecstasy.
 
5% of high school seniors report having used cocaine.
